Through dynamic small group sessions, insightful plenaries, and experiential activities, participants will learn how to: assess a trainee and provide effective feedback, lead an interactive large group or lecture-based session, lead a case-based discussion, teach at the bedside, balance the needs of students and patients, use educational technology, and challenge learners to move from knowing to understanding.

Course facilitators are all HMS faculty members with advanced training in medical education and extensive experience teaching.

Advanced Educator Course:
Based on input from prior course attendees, we now offer an advanced course which includes focused interactive learning experiences that go beyond the core material for all medical educators. This practical series exposes participants to advanced pedagogical techniques, including concept mapping, and focuses on important tools for those interested in advancing their careers as medical educators, such as turning your medical education work into scholarship.
